One day back in January of ‘06 one of your agents was driving by and saw me working out in the yard. I was cutting wood and he convinced me to stop for 10 minutes to take a break and warm up. Boy, am I glad he did! He had a program that he was showing to all of the people in my area. He said it was something that small business owners and those that are self-employed should at least take a look at. It almost seemed too good to be true. The benefits were easy to understand and it was very affordable. I liked the part where the benefits were paid directly to me. Unfortunately, about six months later I had to use it. I was hauling a load of gravel with a front end loader and I was kind of on a hillside. I hit a hole and was thrown into the rollover system on my tractor and slammed my head and neck. It all happened so fast, but I was able to jump off before the tractor tipped over. I ended up in the hospital with two herniated discs in my neck/spine that needed surgery. I received the Hospitalization Plus benefit, one day of Hospital confinement, and the prosthetic benefit. I paid in about $400.00 and received back $4200.00 within the first year! The way I look at it – the policy has really paid for itself for the next 10 years. My agent is Tom Eccles and he was very helpful in assisting me through the claims process. He has called to follow-up with me numerous times to see how I was doing and that I was happy with the way things were going. He assured me that the policy would pay just as I intended it to. It was nice to have that peace of mind. Part of the money was used for our deductible on our other ins., and part was to pay off some of our other bills. Sincerely, Joseph C. |
